Wine of the Week, Jan. 12, 2021

This week we traveled, virtually, to the Italian Alps to taste the 2019 Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio. This winery was founded in 1848. The Tiefenbrunner Castel Turmhof Winery owes its name to the ancient castle known today as the home of the Tiefenbrunner family. This wine has lots of fruity notes of pears, honeysuckle, green apple, honeydew melon, peach and lemon. Lovey juicy palate. It is crisp, and full-bodied in taste with a round finish. We bought this bottle at Costco for $11.99, I think it is a steal!
